Recipient Account Requirements

Each recipient must have a PayPal or Venmo account that meets the following criteria (an "Eligible Account"):

  • Is located in an eligible jurisdiction supported by PayPal/Venmo
  • Permits the recipient to receive commercial payments
  • Meets applicable PayPal verification requirements, including email confirmation and mobile phone verification (where required)
  • Remains in good standing (not restricted, limited, or suspended)
  • Has disabled the "Receive payments only from verified users" setting (if applicable)

Important Note on Account Eligibility

We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or prevent a recipient from receiving payouts if they fail to meet eligibility criteria, violate applicable laws, or pose an unacceptable risk to PayPal/Venmo services.

1. How to Check Payment Status

  • Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.com and navigate to the "Activity" section to view payment details (transaction ID, date, amount, and sender information).
  • Download your PayPal statement for official records by following this guide: View & Download Statements
  • On the desktop dashboard, use the date filter in the "Activity" section to search for payments within a specific timeframe. Check the transaction status (Completed/Pending/Failed) for each payment.

2. Funds Availability

  • PayPal payments are typically received instantly. In some cases (security checks or bank processing), funds may take up to 24 hours to appear in your account (maximum 48 hours).
  • If you haven’t received a payment, check your spam folder for PayPal transaction notifications and verify that your account has no transaction restrictions. Contact PayPal support if issues persist.

Venmo Payment Guide

1. How to Check Payment Status

  • Log in to your Venmo account via the mobile app or website and navigate to the "Transactions" section to view payment details (sender username, memo, amount, and date).
  • Export your transaction history as a CSV file for record-keeping: Go to Settings > Transaction History > Download Transaction History.
  • Enable push notifications in the Venmo app to receive real-time alerts for incoming payments, ensuring you never miss a transaction.

2. Account Verification & Limits

  • Venmo accounts require identity verification to receive payments exceeding certain limits. Verification includes providing full name, date of birth, U.S. phone number, U.S. address, and linking a U.S. bank account or debit card.
  • Important: Venmo only provides services to U.S. residents. Non-U.S. users cannot use Venmo to receive payments. We recommend PayPal for international transactions.
  • Unverified Venmo accounts have strict receiving limits: typically $299.99 per transaction and $999.99 per month. Verified accounts enjoy higher limits (up to $5,000 per transaction).
